Product description

Ginger used to be an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. Not any more. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners, and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the cute saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help. He’s part of the problem! Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart, or can they stay best friends forever? A gorgeously tender-hearted tale of secrets, friends and fitting in from bestselling author Cathy Cassidy.

I love it the tension between Ginger and Shannon is unreal, and Sam sooooo cute! I don’t like Shannon very much but Emily sounds really nice! Definitly recommend it’s a brill book, thanks Cathy!

If you liked the Jacqueline Wilson ‘girls in love’ series then this is the author for you. This book follows the life of a teenaged bulling victim as she learns the unspoken rules of high school and is forced to chose between love and popularity. Although well written and realistic I found this book to soppy for my taste.

This book is great – Ginger ends up practically having to choose between her best mate and a boy – how will it end up – read it and see – it’s worth it!

Ginger snaps was so exciting to read, because it combined both romance and a story of acceptance. I read it a long while ago now, but the characters will forever be inprinted in my memory, because it was such a unique tale. And I just loved the idea of blue lemonade, YUMMY! :D

This is my favourite Cathy Cassidy book. Ginger Brown. Yeah, that’s her name. She also has hair the colour of carrots. In Year 7, she meets Shannon, and she doesn’t care about the hair! They become best friends and know eachother inside-out (sort of) but Ginger left out a tiny detail, she was bullied and no one used to like her :( * * * * *

Gingersnaps was perfect in every way. It has a message behind it, a good plot and interesting characters. Cathy Cassidy put effort into the personality of each character, not just the main one. This is an outstanding book that I highly recommend.

I loved this book! At first I thought Shannon was a really nice person but at the end I could so see that she was not best friend material. Sam on the other hand!.... I fell for him straight away! A great book! You’ve got to read it!
