Sophia Bennett won The Times/Chicken House Competition 2009 with her fabulous debut children’s novel Threads. Her great loves are art and design, her four children, fashion magazines, cappuccino, her husband and her job (but not necessarily in that order). She lives in London with her family and has also written for The Times and The Guardian newspapers.

Sophia has written three books in the Threads series, along with several other novels for teenage girls.

One of my favourite books ever

I really enjoyed this book, it's officially one of my favourite books ever!!! It is really touching and it makes you never want to put the book down. I couldn't stop reading this book. I read it all night and eventually had to go to sleep. My favourite character is Ava because she has a medical condition but still helps her little sister become a model. She is really nice even if she has a load of treatments to have and stuff. My least favourite character is Nick because he just accuses Ted of being a boring model and he says she is never there for Ava, but she always is! My favourite part was when Dean and Ted have a friendly awkward chat at the bus stop. I couldn't stop laughing there! My least favourite part was when Ava kept trying to convince her mum and dad to let Ted be a model but then Ted says she doesn't want to be a model. This book is amazing for teens! I really enjoyed it and I could never get tired of this book! One of my favourite books by far! I rate this book 10/10 and it definitely deserves to be on my top 10 booklist. Thanks for this awesome book. It is truely amazing and funny!
