Product description

Horrible old Mr Gum is back with a hilarious tale for little nibbleheads! It’s a story for anyone who likes to read about hot-air balloons, mad sea captains, disgusting old villains and words like ‘wab!’, ‘tungler’ and ‘kelp’. Fifth in a bestselling series, this book’s got all of those things – and a lot more besides. Shamelessly zany and brimming with chuckles, it’ll fly off the bookshelf in a flash!

Winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2008.

“Quirky, odd and deliciously funny” – Sophie Dahl

I have this book and recently used it for my school work. In it you will read about bears called Padlock, two terrifyingly villans, one little girl called Polly, a hot air balloon and Jonathan Ripples the fattest man in town! I would recommend these series of books for all ages.
