Product description
Giants live on top of Mount Grumble, hidden from humans below.
But not all of them are big. Muncle Trogg is so small that he’s laughed at by the others for being human-sized.
Fed up, he decides to take a look at the ‘Smallings’ that he’s meant to look like.
But what he discovers is very surprising indeed…
Winner of The Times/Chicken House Children’s Fiction Competition 2010, Muncle Trogg is the charming upside down fairytale about a tiny giant who saves the day.

on 24 February 2011Muncle Trogg is a brilliant book. It is about a young giant who can not fit in because he is tiny, his brother, Gritt bullies him. These giants have to live in Mount Grumble due to their enemies, the smallings.
This book is brilliant, Janet Foxley is the best writer of the decade. I hope there will be a sequel to this book!

Charming and funny
Books for younger children don't always get the recognition they deserve, so I was delighted that Muncle Trogg won The Times/Chicken House Fiction Prize this year. Muncle is the very charming, very funny human-sized giant who becomes an unlikely hero. It's an adventure story with lots of heart and humour, and perfect for confident readers of 7 upwards.
