Product description

The world’s most famous detective. The genius of Baker Street. The most brilliant mind in fiction. But before he became all this, who was the young Sherlock Holmes?

The year is 1868, and Sherlock Holmes is fourteen. His life is that of a perfectly ordinary army officer’s son: boarding school, good manners, a classical education – the backbone of the British Empire. But all that is about to change. With his father suddenly posted to India, and his mother mysteriously ‘unwell’, Sherlock is sent to stay with his eccentric uncle and aunt in their vast house in Hampshire. So begins a summer that leads Sherlock to collide with his first murder – and a dazzlingly sinister villain of malign intent…

Open The Death Cloud to witness the rebirth of a classic character; the iconic detective reimagined as a brilliant, troubled teenager in a chilling and addictive mystery which remains true to the spirit of Arthur Conan Doyle’s original books.

I really liked the mystery and adventure of Death Cloud. I like the way that it isn’t just action, like some books, but reveals a mystery as the book goes through. I want to read them all!

I really enjoyed this action packed adventure. The descriptions of London were great, and it was nail-biting when Sherlock camd face-to-face with the villain. I hope there are going to be lots of books in the series!
