Product description
Just imagine knowing you may be eaten for breakfast at any moment; dropped like a rasher of bacon into a frying pan sizzling with fat. This is exactly what worries Sophie when she is snatched from her bed by a giant whose stride is as long as a tennis court! Luckily, the giant who has her in his grasp is a gentle, jumbly creature who captures dreams like exotic butterflies. As Sophie enters Giant Country with him, dodging monstrous beasts who feast on human bones, the biggest adventure of her whole life is just about to begin…
Roald Dahl’s classic favourite, stuffed with Quentin Blake’s exuberant artwork, is an irrepressible tale of dreams, imagination and the triumph of good over evil.

on 6 April 2013I love this book sooo much and I loved every bit of it from beginning to end! Roald Dahl has certainly done a fantastic job writing this and I take my hat off to him!! This story is about an ordinary girl called Sophie(based on Roald Dahl,s granddaughter!) who gets snatched from her bed by a giant who is kind and loveing, not like traditional fairy tales, she enters a magnification world of adventure and the biggest in her life…..
This is a must read book and I would recommend it to anyone!!! Xx

on 20 May 2012The BFG stands for The Big Friendly Giant. In the story the BFG takes a girl(I won’t tell you her name,I don’t want to spoil it.)to Giantland where she faces danger but the BFG saves her because he is not a meat eater. Then they meet a very important person,(Again I won’t tell you who that was.) She is the ruler of England. I would read this book 24/7.

on 3 March 2011Great book from start to finish. I loved how they’ve included giants and how the illustrations painted a picture of them. I liked the funny words like snozcumber. The giant was my favourite character because of him saying his words back to front.

on 3 March 2011The BFG is one of the best books I’ve ever read! I loved it alot. I loved the BFG’s unique way of talking muddled up english and I loved Little Sophie, I would’ve died if I were caught by the Bloodbottler. SOPHIE WAS REALLY BRAVE AND CREATIVE, BECAUSE HER PLAN WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! I liked her style and I loved the BFG’s dreams, the ones Sophie reads and laughs. I would love to see the BFG one day Hope he comes along while I am WIDE awake! :)

on 24 February 2011Not sure about this book, it’s more a ‘boyish’ one of Roald Dahls, although I did like it quite alot. The long words are funny, especially if you say them out loud!
