Awesome

I thought this book was awesome. I didn't understand what it was like for children in wars before, how dangerous with bombs falling on houses. I think the doodlebugs sound very scary. It would be scary too and sad for children to be sent away from their parents and not know where they were going or what families they would be with. Melody aged 9.

Sounds like a fantastic book and from the blurb I can tell it will be an exciting thriller- I just can’t wait to read it some day!

I really want to read this book, i read the description and it looks great, although i might have to put it down if it gets to sad. Reading this would probaly put my whole life in perspective, that my childhood is not nearly so bad. I am reading wonder at the moment, the events of a boy an unfortunate facial deformaty. I have also read pig heart boy in English lessons, and this is also about a boy with a lethal desicion for wether he wants a heart transplant-from a pig. These are two great books, but they are not on this website. I love sad but different books like this that really make you think. 📚
