Liz Pichon

When Liz was little, she loved to draw, paint and make things. Her mum used to say she was very good at making a mess (which is still true today!).

She kept drawing and went to art school, where she earned a degree in graphic design. She worked as a designer and art director in the music industry, and her freelance work has appeared on a wide variety of products.

Liz is the author-illustrator of several picture books. Tom Gates is the first series of books she has written and illustrated for older children. They have won several prestigious awards, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, and the Blue Peter Book Award. The books have been translated into forty-one languages worldwide.

   Tom gates is funny! I love to read tom gates as well as dork diaries and wimpy kid. They are all so good! It’s great and it’s cool and of course funny! lol!

    At the moment I am still reading this book. It is fun-loving because of the words used in this book. I love the fact that it shows pictures and makes it easier for the reader to read it.

    This book is a great tom gates one I love it’s so wonderfull you should read it some time if u haven’t it’s really descriptive my fav part is when tom has a tooth aic and I love his band dog zombies

    I absolutely loved this book like any other Tom Gates book but this one was really spectacular as it gives you ideas for excuses when your late for school ( not that I would need any as I live like 2 minutes from my school.)

    My favourite scene in this book is when DOGZOMBIES performed at the Leafy Green Old Peoples Home, it shows that even old people enjoy rock music.

    My favourite character was obviously Tom because he managed to stop the sticker thief that was sticking Mr. Fullerman’s stickers to the chart.

    I rate this book 11/10, it was better than the first and now in the same league as Diary of the Wimpy Kid, watch out Jeff Kinney! Anyone that likes DOAWK will love this book.

    Tom is the head of his class with the school gold chart list but then suddenly he finds out that his enemy Marcus Meldrew has suddenly crept up ahead of Tom, so one day Tom has to show inspectors his class and there right in front of there eyes was Marcus Meldrew must have bought a box of gold stars of his OWN!!!!!! Eventually he had to miss out on play times for 3 whole days!!!!! Also while this is all going on Tom’s tooth is killing him with pain so much so the side of his mouth swells up and he has to go to the dreaded DENTIST!!!!
