Product description
“Glubbslyme. You’re magic!” When Rebecca wades into a witch’s pond after a row with her best friend Sarah, she meets a very unusual new friend – a huge, warty toad! But Glubbslyme is no ordinary toad. Hundreds of years old, he can talk and – best of all – he can work magic. Maybe, just maybe, he can help Rebecca to be best friends with Sarah again… This unusual and absorbing fantasy from superstar author Jacqueline Wilson skilfully blends a story of friendships and fallouts with a richly woven magical tapestry.

on 12 May 2012Not one that you can get into straight away as the frog (Glubbslyme) is 100 years old and talks very old fashioned. Its quite hard to pronounce the words correctly, although when its half way through you really would enjoy this book. I understand that people think this book is “rubbish” but its not the worst book ever in my opinion :)

on 1 March 2012This is a really interesting book – slightly old fashioned, but overall enjoyable. It follows Rebecca and Glubbslyme, a girl and a frog, but the frog can do magic! It is very fun and I would recommend it.

This is a great book, but not my favourite. It also taught me a new word ‘Distinguished’ which was quite cool :)
