Our book of the month for children aged 0+ is a fantastic new Bluey board book. Bluey: The Pool is based on a very popular episode of the CBeebies TV series. On a hot day, Mum and Dad decide that the family should go for a swim in Uncle Stripe’s pool. Bluey and Dad tease Mum about being fussy and over-prepared, but they soon realise it’s that which makes the fun things possible.

This is a great pick, as with any other Bluey title, because whilst the stories are great fun and really appealing to children, there are also funny jokes included for parents to enjoy as well. The pages are full of brightly coloured and engaging images – there are so many fun details to the pictures that are great for children to spot. Especially if a child loves the Bluey TV show, this board book is a really great way to incorporate reading into family life and promote a child’s interest in books.
