The TV game show only has one rule: kill or be killed. Katniss must play or die. But she won’t give up without a fight…

In District 12, where Katniss Everdeen lives, life is harsh and brutal, ruled from afar by the all-powerful leaders of the Capitol. The climax of each year is the savage Hunger Games – where twelve boys and twelve girls from each District must fight to the death on live TV. When sixteen-year-old Katniss steps forward to take her younger sister’s place in the games, everyone regards it as a death sentence. Only one person can survive the horrors of the arena. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature… Fling yourself into the arena and surrender to heart-stopping drama with the addictive series that’s got everyone hungry for more!

    Horror, drama and suspense!

The Hunger Games Trilogy is an amazing series filled with horror, drama and romance.
This book is amazing and it is very moving, at one point of it I was brought to tears. It has great description to help you imagine the situation and how the characters feel. There are parts of the book where you can cleary tell what is happening and there are loads of cliff hangers which add great suspense. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading because it is a very fun book to read and when you finish the trilogy you wish that there was more.

    You'll be hooked!

A genuinely exciting, page-turning, can’t-wait-to-see-what-happens-next series, set in a vividly described post-apocalyptic world where children fight to the death in the ultimate gameshow. The story centres around Katniss Everdeen, who must rely on her skill and guile as she fights to the death to beat the regime that threw her into this violent, bloody world. Packed with intrigue, excitement and a tinge of romance, you’ll be hooked from the first page of the first book to the end of the third.
