Product description

This dramatic, lovingly-illustrated comic-strip version of the Greek myths fuses incredible tales of heroism and tragedy with humorous, detailed artwork that will always stick in your mind. Watch in awe as the heroes and monsters leap to life: Perseus the Gorgon-slayer, the dreaded Minotaur, mighty Heracles, ill-fated Icarus and the awe-inspiring goddess Athene. Marcia Williams’s fabulous comic drawings don’t just magically resurrect the mythical beasts and warriors: they’re heroically good at encouraging reluctant readers too.

“Crammed with hilarious, minutely detailed strip drawing. Smashing.” The Guardian

“Williams is one of our very best retellers of the classics.” The Independent on Sunday

“I defy anybody not to laugh out loud.” Books for Your Children
